GnuCash

GnuCash is personal accounting software that is almost equivalent to Quicken but free. I love free things, I also love Open Source and GnuCash is. This software is perfect for someone who’s financial tracking needs are simple. You are able to track your income and expenses, credit cards, savings and investments, and more. This software is almost the same as the most basic version of Quicken.

Not only is it good to keep track your finances, you can use this software to teach kids about money and a little math too. Have this program automatically add your kids allowance to their account and they can see how much they will have in the future.

I have been using the program for about 3 months and love it. Those extra features that Quicken has I would probably never use, so why pay for it?

Try this program for yourself. You can get started quickly by importing your Quicken database or you can start from scratch.

Go to GnuCash.org to get started.

Wounderland is Fun

Canada’s Wounderland is so fun that I had to wake up at 6 in the a.m. to get stuff ready before leaving at 8. It is so fun that traffic (for once) is going smooth and gets you at the park an hour and 15 minutes early. It is so fun that after 4 rides and 2 hours in the park you need to vomit, and yes I did. Me and my bro then decided to just hang out at the water park all day and get sun burns.

If you havent noticed, I am not to happy on how the day went. But I still love it so here are some pictures on my facebook. FACEBOOK PHOTOS.

Stunning Wallpapers

InterfaceLIFT is a high resolution wallpaper gallery for you computer. Just by visiting the website at www.interfacelift.com you will already see a list of the most recent wallpapers that you can download to your computer.

I have been using this website for a long time now. My current favorite is “The Green Hills of Home” but that might change as many photographers, painters and digital artists are always adding new content to the site. There is almost 1 new wallpaper a day so you can keep changing the way you like.

You can download wallpapers in almost any standard resolution. You can get the wide screen version, the full screen version, dual and triple monitor version and even for you PSP and iPhone.

To get started you first need to know what your monitor resolution is.

To find this out on Windows XP or earlier right click on the desktop and select Properties and then click on the Settings tab. You will see it below the horizontal slider in the format width x height.

To find out your resolution in Windows Vista right click on the desktop and select Personalize and then click on Display Settings. You will see it below the horizontal slider in the format width x height.

Now becuase I have never used a mac before I don’t know how to find out your resolution on a mac.

After you have your resolution all figured out the next step is to get your wallpaper. The best way to do this is to go to your resolution catagory. I will use my resolution for this example. My monitor is a widescreen with the resolution of 1680 x 1050. From the homepage I would select at the top of the page wide screen and then select 1680 x 1050. Now I can see every wallpaper that is in my monitors resolution. Once I find the one I want I just click the download button below the image and then I right click the big image and click save as, save it somewhere that you know you can find it like in a folder called backgrounds or wallpaper.

Now that your wallpaper is saved you can set it as your background. There are many ways of doing this but the easiest way would be to find the file, right click, and click set as background.

I hope you like InterfaceLIFT as much as I do.
